DNAInfo.com reports that:
City Councilman Ruben Wills was taken into police custody Wednesday morning after $32,000 went missing from a charity he’s connected to, sources said.
The charges were brought against Wills by NYS Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. The charges stem from Schneiderman’s 2012 probe into former state senator Shirley Huntley’s charity, NewYork4Life. Wills was Huntley’s chief of staff.
Wills turned himself into police this morning. He also stepped down as chairman of the City Council subcommittee on Substance Abuse.
