NY Governor Andrew Cuomo is getting push back against his claim that Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy was more “impactful” than Hurricane Katrina.
The Times-Picayune reports: Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., is expected to play a major role in crafting a bill to help New York, New Jersey and Connecticut deal with damages from Sandy, as the chair of the Senate appropriations subcommittee that oversees the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Cuomo fans can close the book on his reputed 2016 presidential ambitions. This faux pas (French for “foot in the foot”) will come back to haunt him should he run for the Democratic Party nomination.
