NY Post: Probe targets Rivera’s boyfriend’s seemingly impossible hours

The NY Post is keeping up its drumbeat coverage of the alleged convergence of Bronx Assemblyman Naomi Rivera’s love life and the public payroll.

Candice Giove of the Post reports

Over 10 consecutive September school days at the start of the 2010 school year, Brooklyn teacher Tommy Torres (below) also logged a whopping 40 hours (left) at the Bronx district office of girlfriend Naomi Rivera. Torres’ timesheets and schedule are part of a new probe by city schools investigator Richard Condon into Torres’ $18,000-a-year Rivera gig.

According to the Post three agencies, including the Bronx DA’s office, are now looking into the allegations aired in stories published by the paper.
The now-scandal tainted Assemblywoman faces two challengers in the upcoming Democratic primary on September 13. Supporters in her camp  say that out on the campaign trail voters continue to express confidence in her.
