Senecas To Cuomo: Thanks For The $1B (Oh, And Honor The Gaming Pact)

Nick Reisman at the SOP blog reports on the Seneca Nation’s full page ad in the Buffalo News thanking Gov. Cuomo for committing $1B in development aid to Western NY. Read more:

The Seneca Nation is extending a hand in friendship. Governor Cuomo would be wise to return his extended hand. In GOP parlance, the Seneca’s are job creators. Cuomo’s economic development plans should fully embrace them.

On the tobacco tax remittances, the state must seek collection. But that issue should be negotiated along with the Indian Nations’ claim regarding the Thruway bisecting their lands as well as their casino “compact” claim. The Seneca’s open hand of friendship must be returned.
