Brooklyn state Senator to plead guilty in federal court

Brooklyn state Senator Carl Kruger does the honorable thing today. The DN reports that he will plead guilty to federal corruption charges and resign from office.

H/T to the US Attorney – Eastern District Preet Bharara. This time they apparently know how to get got the goods on corrupt public officials — wiretapped conversations. (Are you listening, Mr. Bharara?)

State Sen. Carl Kruger’s expected guilty plea today on federal corruption charges is part of a deal with prosecutors that will force him to resign, the Daily News says.
